About Us

A place to worship

The Dayspring Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God based in Stavanger, Norway, began as a house fellowship on Tuesday, the 15th day of May, 2012 in Sola, at the present Founding Parish Pastor’s residence, where we had four adults and two children in attendance for Bible study.

With the determination and inspiration from the Holy Spirit to grow the house fellowship into a fully-fledged Parish, we continued with the Tuesday Bible study with two adults and two children for few weeks and finally decided to have our first Sunday service on 3rd June, 2012. We recorded 2 adults and 2 children in the attendance on this particular Sunday.

Before long, some members started joining us and when we got to about 15 in number, we decided to get a church auditorium. The Lord has been faithful to us. Today, we record close to a hundred regular members during our Sunday church services. The church has grown in leaps and bounds, and has seven ministries serving to make the work of Christ possible.

Why the name, Dayspring?

As a Bible-believing church, we prayerfully adopted the name “Dayspring” from the 78th verse of the first chapter of the gospel according to Saint Luke, where it is written, “Through the tender mercy of our God, with which the Dayspring from on high has visited us.” (NKJV)

This name has been of tremendous blessing to us. The Lord has showered His Dayspring of blessings on us as a church indeed.
